Vincent Dérozier

Vincent is an Environment Artist specializing in material creation with a diploma of Conceptor Draftman. He began his career at Eden Games in France, later becoming a Level Artist at Ubisoft Annecy. In 2015 he moved to Canada, where he worked on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, For Honor, and subsequently on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. For Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, he was responsible for architectural materials – creating benchmarks, giving artistic presentations, and training the outsourcing staff. A speaker at GDC 2019, his work is featured in 3D Artist, 80lvl, and Substance Academy.

Cem Tezcan

Collaborators

Cem is a freelance technical designer who works in Turkey, Ankara. In spite of holding a master’s degree in Statistics, he mainly focused on hard surface CAD modeling, texture-based animated game material systems, generative modeling, and procedural texture design with Substance Software. Cem is well known for his environment and product-based designs, where he brings attention to realism, manufactural details, and photographic features.

Pauline Boiteux

Collaborators

Pauline is a freelance material artist, working for clients such as Louis Vuitton. Her expertise in creating innovative patterns and materials push the boundaries of what’s possible within the field of textile material creation. With experience in both lighting and texturing, she began experimenting with Substance Designer in 2017. Pauline shares her knowledge of Substance Designer and Painter through teaching introductory courses at various schools in Paris, France.

Eric Wiley

Eric is a Senior Artist at Blizzard Entertainment in Irvine, California. With over ten years of experience, Eric specializes in environment art and material creation. Well known in the community for pushing the limits of what can be achieved inside of Substance Designer, Eric’s work has been featured in 3D Artist. He has worked on projects such as Guild Wars 2, Gigantic, Skylander Super Chargers, and Destiny 1 & 2.

Daniel Thiger

With 15 years of experience in the gaming industry at Dice and Bungie, Daniel specializes in material, texture, and asset creation. He is passionate about anything procedural, and spends most of his spare time experimenting in Substance Designer. He collaborated with Allegorithmic on their Signature Series project, and served as a speaker at GDC 2018. His workflow and techniques can be found in 3D Artist, 80lvl, Substance, and Marmoset Toolbag. He offers tutorials teaching the community how to learn Substance Designer from the ground up.
